The Monk Botanical Gardens is a property rich with plant diversification, wildlife and geological features including a quaint pond complete with an island. It is this richness that allows the Gardens to be a place of enjoyment, even as the first gardens are sculpted, planted and developed. The grounds reflect Mr. Monk’s dedication to creating an area of natural beauty for it is his labors and design intuition that laid the foundation of the botanical gardens.
Visitors today experience the beauty of the pinery woods, a lush pond and sweeping vistas of the open fields which Mr. Monk envisioned and created many years ago. Thanks to the beautiful photography of Roger Zimmermann, you don't have to wait to see it in person! Enjoy!
